The Dreaming Root

There is a path between the realm of Death and the realm of life that leads to a nameless city. Time acts strangely and things that happened yesterday are already ancient... almost forgotten.

During the Lost Ages, Alarielle dreamt of a possibility of something beyond life ...

... beyond death, and thus a seed was planted under the foundations of the city

But the ground was home for another kind of dream, a dream whose beating heart fed the realms with living nightmares.

The Seed grew strong under the humming heart...

... but the seed grew wrong

It spread its roots under the city, following unknown paths to the Mortal Realms

And their spirits - humming a wooden tone - fight along these paths ...

... to protect the possibility of the dream ...

... unaware of the slumbering conscience beating in rhythm.
